Edinburgh City Chambers Wedding Video
There’s something really special about a wedding that keeps things simple and meaningful.
Emily & Dom’s day began in the most personal way possible — getting ready separately at family homes, Spending time in the comfort of familiar spaces and the people closest to them set the tone beautifully for what was to come.
An Intimate Ceremony at Edinburgh City Chambers
Their ceremony took place at Edinburgh City Chambers, right in the heart of the city. With immediate family and close friends gathered, it felt intimate, warm, and completely focused on what mattered most.
City Chambers weddings always have a certain energy — you step outside and you’re instantly part of Edinburgh’s rhythm. After the ceremony, we took a relaxed stroll through the city streets, letting the moment breathe. No rush, no staging — just a few quiet minutes together before the next chapter of the day unfolded.
As an Edinburgh wedding videographer, I always enjoy this part. The city becomes part of the story without ever overwhelming it.
From the City to the Gardens
From there, it was a short taxi ride to the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
The shift from historic city centre to open green space gave the day a lovely change of pace. The gardens offered space to wander, talk, and settle into the afternoon. Speeches were heartfelt, dinner relaxed, and the atmosphere quietly joyful.
An Evening That Opened Up
As evening guests arrived, the celebration shifted again — from intimate gathering to full party. The day had gently built towards this point, and it felt natural rather than sudden. Laughter grew louder, the dance floor filled, and the night took on a different kind of energy.
A City Wedding with a Personal Feel
Emily & Dom’s Edinburgh City Chambers wedding followed by a Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh reception was a perfect example of how a day can move between spaces while still feeling cohesive and personal.
It was a pleasure to capture a wedding that felt so grounded and true to them — a story that moved from family homes, to the heart of Edinburgh, to the calm of the gardens, and finally into a joyful evening celebration.
